You can also connect external storage (chests, crates, drawers, etc..) with a storage bus, making it an integral part of your ME system, while not taking up ME storage space.

After that I use a chest with an importer for output from the bulk washer/smoker/haunter/smelter setup. I expect to switch to blackhole units and controllers from drawers soonish.
